Committee member Jane Wood has organised a fantastic Evening Charity Event on 19th July at Aylesford in aid of The Air Ambulance Service & in memory of her friend & Club member Caroline Harvey. With the gates opening at 5.15pm, there is so much for everyone to look forward to - check it out below!

From 5.15pm there will be Drinks & Cakes from The Coffee Bean, Glynn's Ice Creams, Delicious Homemade Cakes & Treats from Bakery91 and a variety of Locally Produced Food from Piccalily by Prestwold. Photos will be taken early evening by Gareth of Final Fence Photography. At 7pm the Stirrup Cup Mobile Bar will be open and Paul Barker will be selling Burgers, Veggie Burgers & Chips.

We have two very popular and fabulous Display Teams performing... At 5.45pm... it's the Quorn Hunt Pony Club Display Team & At 6.45pm... it's the East Midlands Quadrille Club!

The Quorn Hunt Pony Club Display Team performed four fabulous displays at Kelmarsh Show earlier this year in May and the East Midlands Quadrille Club were a great success with two displays at Rutland County Show with their musical performances to ‘Grease’ and have a very busy summer schedule of performances ahead!

Wade Barley

Wade is a BD UKCC Level 2 Accredited Coach, BHS Professional Coach, BD Youth Coach and Assessor, has competed to PSG and has also been placed at many Regional, Winter and National Championships over the years.  Wade has produced a lot of young horses, evented to Intermediate level and hunted, and can therefore offer a huge variety of training methods and tools to help every level of rider achieve and get the best out of their horse.

Phil Brown

Phil is a UKCC level 3 BE Accredited Coach, BE Youth Coach for East Midlands and Northern Regions.  Phil produces horses across the grades of eventing to top level competition, including clear XC rounds at Burghley 5* 2022 and Pau 5* 2023.  Phil is passionate about helping riders achieve their competitive goals from grassroots to international level.

OAKHAM VETERINARY HOSPITAL EVENING VISIT - Wednesday 3rd July 7pm

We had such a great time at the visit to Oakham Vets last year, so we're delighted that Sandy has organised another one in July.  This is for RLRC and Rutland RC members only - £10 per person paid in advance.  Please email Sandy Cornwall to book your space and for more details.

Members Only Free Information Evening 28th February...

Planning For Emergencies & Essential First Aid For Your Horse with Prof. Sarah Freeman, Professor of Veterinary Surgery at  Nottingham University.

This fantastically informative evening will discyss common emergencies in the horse and how to manage them. Sarah will share information on the most common emergency problems in the horse and how you as an owner can prepare and make sure you are ready to help your horse. The evening will cover when  an emergency vet should be called, what first aid you should provide while waiting and the likely costs and outcomes for key emergencies. The evening will finish with some scenarios about common problems such as colic, wounds and severe lameness with plenty of opportunities for discussions about the different options for each.

Annual General Meeting & Awards Evening

A fantastic evening is planned this year -  a shorter version of the formal AGM followed by activity snapshots looking back at 2022 and moving forward to 2023 showcasing some new events we have planned.  The Annual League Awards will be presented, followed by a couple of fun games as well as alight supper buffet and drinks from the bar.  The evening will finish with the raffle which has some seriously amazing prizes! - Agenda

Course Walk At Rockingham Horse Trials With Jane Wallace - 21st May.

We are delighted to offer tickets for a day out at Rockingham Horse Trials with the added bonus of an exclusive Cross Country Course Walk with Individual Silver Medalist, Burghley & Bramham Winner, Jane Wallace.
